Brett + Brandi's Engagement - Pikes Peak State Park

Brett and Brandi fell in love after some time of going to the same gym. Brett had a crush for a while before making a move, but luckily his courage paid off after Brandi replied to his Facebook message, the beginning to their love story! Now, they are engaged to be married in 2024, just a couple hours from me here in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

After sending Brett and Brandi my top favorite places for engagement sessions located between us (them in western Illinois and me in western Wisconsin), they decided to make the two+ hour trek to Pikes Peak State Park in McGregor, Iowa, so we could incorporate the park's natural beauty in their session. We started by hiking straight to the spot in the park they were most looking forward to: the waterfall.

Though the walkway was tight and the falls just dribbling, we were able to do a few poses with the water falling behind them. Next, we continued on the path deeper into the park with a few hugs, kisses, giggles and some hand holding.

After turning around and heading back toward the beginning of the park, we noticed a couple visitors watching us!

Our new friends hung around as Brett and Brandi practiced their first dance and the dip they will showcase at their wedding.

Lastly, we ended the session at the lookout at the beginning of the park, capturing the cotton candy sky. I'm looking forward to their special day in five short months!
