Maria and I connected during her search for a fun couples photographer over the summer. Though I am located in Prairie du Chien, WI, I'm always happy to meet clients wherever they're comfortable. Maria and her husband Riley were married two years ago in November, and they were looking for an anniversary photography session near Madison, Wisconsin. We chose Olbrich Botanical Gardens for their location.
We began the session with some snuggles on an old wooden bench near the entrance of the gardens.
When Riley proposed to Maria, they were on a dock in a pond similar to the one we found at Olbrich, so of course we had to play their first dance song (Something by The Beatles) and reminisce about their wedding.
The love between them was evident in the way Riley held Maria, and the giggles he pulled from her. They're so darn cute!!
We continued through the gardens and about halfway through came across a tower. It looked like it was pulled straight out of a fairytale, while Maria and Riley were definitely the main characters.
The path's beauty definitely didn't dwindle the further we explored Olbrich. Our final few stops were some of my favorites with the tall, plush grass and golden sun rays.
We ended our time together by first having Riley and Maria snuggle a bit on the grass, then by asking them to roll around! We couldn't stop laughing the whole time they rolled, and the outcome was really sweet!
The Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin was a stunning location for a photography session near Prairie du Chien, WI, and made for the perfect couples photo shoot. The small photography fee to photograph on the premise was well worth it, and the gardens were a joy to explore.
